Washington not talking about foreclosure settlement as 40 states sign on – Puget Sound Business Journal

Washington is among a handful of key states that have not announced whether they will support a draft deal settling claims of improper mortgage servicing.

More than 40 states opted in as the deadline for joining the proposed state-federal mortgage service settlement passed Monday, CNN    Money reported.

The office of Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna declined to say anything about the deal until it is official.
